North Carolina Shows Florida State Who’s House It Is in DC

The ACC Tournament quarterfinals commenced with the North Carolina Tar Heels securing a decisive 92-67 victory over Florida State. Demonstrating their dominance early on, the Tar Heels, who are fourth in the national rankings and seeded first, initiated their pursuit of their first conference championship in eight years by outplaying the Seminoles with a critical run in the final minutes of the first half. She established the Indiglow Toy Shop, a one-day free pop-up store at UNC Children's Hospital, allowing patients to select toys and gifts. The initiative reflects Powell's desire to provide comfort and joy to others facing medical challenges, drawing from her own experiences of love and support during her treatment. The community rallied behind her vision, with the Amazon Wishlist for the Indiglow Toy Shop quickly selling out, ensuring that many toys will remain at the hospital for future patients to enjoy. Inspired by her journey and the care she received, Powell is now planning a career in the medical field, aspiring to work in a pediatric hospital.
