CommunityWorx Faces Foreclosure: How You Can Help Preserve a Local Lifeline

CommunityWorx, a 72-year-old nonprofit in Chapel Hill-Carrboro, is facing foreclosure. Known for supporting under-resourced youth, families, and local organizations, it urgently needs financial help from the community to continue its mission. The organization, which rebranded in 2019, hosts nine nonprofits offering crucial services. The pandemic severely impacted CommunityWorx, leading to significant revenue losses. The community can help by donating, raising awareness, and offering additional support. The potential loss of CommunityWorx would have far-reaching consequences, emphasizing the need for immediate action.
How to Help
To prevent this crisis, CommunityWorx needs immediate financial support from the community. Here’s how you can help:
Donate: Financial contributions are crucial. Every donation, regardless of size, can make a difference. Donations can be made at www.communityworxnc.org.

Chapel Hill with New Eyes:
Market and Moss
by Elana the Editor
Looking for something fun, I decided to take my spouse to Southern Village for a change of pace. We discovered Market and Moss, where we unexpectedly joined the celebration for their new executive chefs, Danny from Denver and Chuck from New York. The vibe was fantastic, and the tuna tartare was absolutely delicious, paired perfectly with some lovely rosé.

I got the chance to chat with Amanda, the lovely owner, who shared the inspiring story of how Market and Moss bravely opened during the pandemic in 2020. Amanda's passion for the future of the restaurant was palpable, and her excitement was contagious.
The event was the perfect blend of sophistication and comfort, with complimentary prosecco, delightful hors d'oeuvres, and burgers available on the side patio. The atmosphere was trendy, and the service was top-notch, especially from Declan, who made sure everyone felt welcomed and well taken care of.

Market and Moss have truly redefined the dining experience in Chapel Hill. Their commitment to excellence and innovation makes it a must-visit destination. For anyone looking to explore the vibrant culinary scene, this restaurant should be at the top of your list.
This is not a paid promotion. I received no compensation for this review and did not notify the establishment before receiving service.
